Hi friends!
Today I'm sharing one of my favorite ways to decorate for a party or special ocasion. Rolls of paper. Yes, you read that right. I love to unroll a length of brown or black kraft paper and cut out giant numbers, words, or anything else to put on the wall. We keep rolls of painters tape handy to make sticking things up and take down easy.
Idea #1: Girl blowing bubbles
I'm not exactly sure how I came up with this idea, but this girl has been up on our wall for several months now, and I've enjoyed coming up with new things for her to be blowing. For Valentine's I tore any red or pink pages out of magazines and spent quite a lot of time cutting hearts out. The result was worth all the time spent, though. I did the same for Spring, but with flowers in bright colors (not pictured). For an anniversary sign, I made a large speech bubble and wrote on it in bubble letters. I added smaller bubbles so it looked like she was blowing the sign.

Idea #2: Giant numbers (with or without cursive words)
Something about the giant is so much fun. Giant numbers for a big birthday (or any birthday for that matter! They're all special!) are so much fun. And with me being obessed with hand lettering, I generally add in a cursive word or two. It's absolutely not required, but it adds a toutch of cool.

Idea #3: Giant number balloons with photos
For the grandparents' anniversary I made some giant "number ballons" using brown paper for the numbers and a thin strip of black for the strings. I used my white Sharpie marker and gold and silver Gelly Rolls to create the gold hellium balloon effect. I also turned faux calligraphy on the word which I will say was very hard to cut out and put on the wall, but so worth the work! Look how pretty!! I collected up some photos of the two of them together and pulled them into Adobe Express to play around with. I ended up putting all of them in Polaroid frames and printing them. I loved the result!.

Go put one of these up on your wall right now or keep these ideas in your back pocket for your next celebration! Happy Crafting!
