We saw some really cute cats at the Eudora Welty house and came home to make one. Since my dad and sister are allergic to cats, this is the only type I can have.

Draw a pattern. It should be simple, but obviously a cat.

Fold the pattern in half to make the back of the cat.

Cut out the pattern. We drew a face on one side to make sure we kept the sides mirroring.

Pin to fabric. I chose this great animal print that we bought at Fabscrap.

These pins at the bottom were markers to stop sewing so I could stuff my cat.

Sew the long way around the cat on the outside of the fabric. I used a straight stitch. I also had to change the foot to a narrow one so I had something to line up.

Stuff and hand sew the bottom. Tie a ribbon around its neck and sew on button eyes if you want.

I named him "Warren."
