Where in the World is Pooh?
Julia likes animals. All animals. Especially stuffed.
Julia, like her brother and sister, has a menagerie around her bed.
But no animal has stuck quite like glue as Pooh.
PS: His name isn’t Pooh, it’s Winnie. But since “Pooh” is the name he usually goes by, we must adjust accordingly.
Pooh’s birthday is the same weekend as Nora’s because that was the weekend we went to Disney Springs (which I still call Downtown Disney cause that’s how long I’ve lived here.)
Pooh goes everywhere with Julia.
And friends start looking out for him.
And friends get nervous when he’s missing.
So because Pooh has quite a following, we are now creating a series called:
“Where in the World is Pooh?”
(It sounds like “Wood” if you are cute and around the age when you can’t pronounce the letter “r”, which is quite lovely since Pooh is from the Hundred Acre Wood.)
We begin with Pooh locally.
Julia learned early on that sometimes Pooh should stay home. Because he’s popular, some of the 3ish-year-old set kidnap him. Ironically, they refuse ransom payments. She’s also learned that Pooh is mostly allergic to water and to certain field trips.
First, the children made Pooh a bowtie for fancy affairs. He’s legit now.
The uncles were a little concerned that Little Bear had lost his trousers, so sometimes he takes Julia’s.
The first time Pooh stayed home (because he’s allergic to blueberry picking), Daddy was hired to babysit. Pooh spent the morning on the kitchen counter while Daddy was upstairs in his office..
The next time, Daddy had to redeem himself and hired Pooh to work customer service.
A friend of Daddy’s decided it was a good idea and also hired someone cute and cuddly to increase warmth in customer relations.

And that’s where Pooh leaves you today–wishing you someone cuddly and warm to share your days with. . .and asking for advice on how to get a 3-year-old to accept ransom payments.
