Today’s post is an easy project for you to make and slip in with your letters, joke cards! This project is inspired by some friends who sent us jokes on folded sticky notes. We loved them and made our own with a slight twist.

Let’s begin!

A red rectangle of paper with a pen sitting beside it.
1. Grab some paper and cut it to approximately 1.5 x 4 inches
The paper is folded in half with the question 'how do fish pay their bills' written on it.
Fold it in half. Write the question on the outside…
The card is open revealing the answer to the question 'With sand dollars!'
And the answer on the inside
An animation showing how the card works
Optional step, tape the card closed with a sticker or washi tape to give the receiver a chance to guess the answer!

What to do with your joke cards

  • Slide them in any envelope you put in the mail to brighten up your friend’s day
  • Hide them around the house for your family members to find
  • Slip them into a library book when you return it to the library
  • Place them wherever you think people would enjoy finding them!
