# DIY Sophia Webster Inspired Butterfly Shoes

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing another [Sophia Webster](https://www.sophiawebster.com/) inspired project! This time, it's butterflies! If you have heard of Sophia Webster you’ve heard of her [butterfly Chiaras](https://www.sophiawebster.com/product/49746/chiara-sandal-black). Sophia Webster is known for her [butterflies](https://www.sophiawebster.com/category/45/icons). Somehow, she’s managed to add butterflies to any kind of shoe you’d ever want. Unfortunately, her Chiara heels are a bit too high for me both in elevation and price. So, of course, when we can’t buy something, we make our own! These shoes are inspired by a mix of her [Vanessa](https://www.sophiawebster.com/product/51429/vanessa-sandal-spring-meadows) sandals and her [Chiaras](https://www.sophiawebster.com/product/49746/chiara-sandal-black), both of which I love.

- The shoes are from [ThredUp.](https://www.thredup.com/)

- I used some sparkly ombreè fabric I bought from [Fabscrap](https://fabscrap.org/) for all of the butterflies.

- To stiffen them, I used roller blind fabric samples (i.e. a very stiff canvas) and a thin wire hot glued to them. I glued the sparkly fabric to the insides starting from the middle and working out.

- To attach the butterflies to the backs of the shoes, I simply used hot glue.
