Hi friends! Today I’m sharing another Sophia Webster inspired project! This time, it's butterflies! If you have heard of Sophia Webster you’ve heard of her butterfly Chiaras. Sophia Webster is known for her butterflies. Somehow, she’s managed to add butterflies to any kind of shoe you’d ever want. Unfortunately, her Chiara heels are a bit too high for me both in elevation and price. So, of course, when we can’t buy something, we make our own! These shoes are inspired by a mix of her Vanessa sandals and her Chiaras, both of which I love.

  • I used some sparkly ombreè fabric I bought from Fabscrap for all of the butterflies.
  • To stiffen them, I used roller blind fabric samples (i.e. a very stiff canvas) and a thin wire hot glued to them. I glued the sparkly fabric to the insides starting from the middle and working out.
  • To attach the butterflies to the backs of the shoes, I simply used hot glue.

Now go enjoy your amazing shoes! Happy crafting!
